Lifestyle & Functional Medicine

Providers practice within MedicLab's affiliated network. Availability varies by state.

Why you're right to be skeptical

The internet is full of GLP-1 sellers. Very few are practicing medicine.

The red flag

"Everyone qualifies!"

If a website implies everyone gets approved, that's not screening — that's sales. Real medicine turns some people away. We do, and we tell them why.

The other red flag

No human in the loop

Algorithmic "review" in 90 seconds, no dose management, no one to call when week two feels wrong. That's a vending machine with a logo.

What rigor looks like

Screen, prescribe, manage, adjust

Health-history review by a licensed provider, careful dose pacing, monitored side effects, scheduled check-ins. Boring, clinical — and exactly what works.

The clinical pathway

Exactly who does what, at every step

No black boxes. This is the protocol every MedicLab patient moves through.

Step 1 · You

Confidential health intake

2 minutes online: history, medications, goals. HIPAA-secure from the first field.

Step 2 · Licensed provider

Personal medical review

A licensed provider reads your file — flags contraindications, considers your history, and decides if treatment is appropriate. Not an algorithm.

Step 3 · Provider + you

Eligibility decision & plan

Approved: a personalized treatment plan with dose pacing and nutrition targets. Not approved: a clear explanation — and you pay nothing for medication that never ships.

Step 4 · Accredited pharmacy

Fulfillment & discreet delivery

Licensed U.S. pharmacy prepares your prescription; free, unmarked shipping with your education kit in the box.

Step 5 · Clinical team

Managed care, ongoing

Dose adjustments as tolerated, side-effect management, scheduled check-ins, weekly doctor-led Q&A, refill monitoring.

Step 6 · Provider + you

Goal & maintenance planning

Plateau Review when progress stalls; Maintenance Roadmap and provider guidance on transition decisions at goal.

The evidence base

The most-studied weight-loss medications in history

Published trial averages for the active ingredients, studied alongside diet and exercise. Group averages — individual results vary.

"I'm a nurse. I read the studies, I checked the pharmacy accreditation, I asked the hard questions in intake. They answered all of them without flinching. That's why I'm here."

The questions careful patients ask

Is there a real provider — or an algorithm?
A licensed provider personally reviews every intake and prescribes only if appropriate. Some applicants are declined and told why. That's how you can tell it's medicine.
Is compounded GLP-1 legitimate?
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared by licensed U.S. pharmacies from a provider's prescription, using the same active molecules as brand pens. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved — we state that plainly, everywhere. Your provider helps you choose between compounded and FDA-approved brand pens.
Is branded better than compounded?
Brand pens carry FDA approval and patent pricing (from $1,499/mo). Compounded uses the same active molecules at from $199/mo without FDA approval of the compounded form. "Better" depends on your history, preferences, and budget — that's a clinical conversation, and your provider has it with you honestly.
Do I need labs?
Not always — your provider decides based on your history. The Lab & Health-History Prep Guide covers when labs add value and how to share existing results.
What side effects should I know about?
Nausea is most common, usually early and typically easing as your body adjusts; digestive effects and fatigue occur too, and rare serious effects exist — your Side-Effect Preparation Checklist covers red flags with exact instructions. No medication has "no side effects." Slow, provider-managed dosing is how the common stuff stays manageable.
What if I'm not approved?
You get a clear explanation, and you pay nothing for medication that never ships. We'd rather decline honestly than prescribe carelessly.
